Helga Lloyd
Helga Lloyd, born and raised in Hamburg, Germany is portraying her European paintings and landscape oil paintings for the first time.
After she moved to Canada as a very young woman she has lived most of her life in Ladner, British Columbia, where she has attended various art classes. She has focused her landscape paintings upon Canadian scenes and European paintings. She has attended both private art lessons and Kwantlen College courses to advance her artistic talent. Helga belonged to both the South Delta Artist Guild and the Delta Arts Council. Since she moved to Kamloops in 2003 she has joined the Community Arts Council and has been accepted in the Juried Art Show in the River Room of the Sports Mart Place in Kamloops, BC. Her work has been mainly inspired by her extensive travel in Egypt, Australia, and Europe. Her medium of choice is oil paintings though most of her earlier work was done in acrylic. Helga's hope is that the viewer of her paintings can experience some of the atmosphere of the exciting destinations she portrays within her European paintings as a Canadian Artist.
